Raising Children Network – Preview beta
I discovered this via my wanderings on the net. I have been able to get a sneak preview of a newly to be launched beta site. The parenting space is getting hot here in Ozzie Land too. They have some serious funding from the Victorian Government ($4m AUD) and is an initiative from parenting non-for-profit groups in Melbourne.
The Raising Children Network provides content that is not syndicated, however provides forums and a ‘my neighbourhood’ area to find resources in your local neighborhood. I have marked this site as a related Family 2.0 site as it is not quite passing my criteria for what is Family 2.0.
What they are about…
We see our role as providing information that can help parents with the day-to-day decisions of raising children, and looking after their own needs.
We believe that parent engagement is enhanced when we explain the logic and science behind the information. We collaborate with top experts in Australia and internationally. And we implement a rigorous quality control process to ensure the information we present is valid and reliable.
Stay tuned for when the Raising Children Network goes live.
